A US-only retail event for the card game's 30th anniversary at participating Best Buy, GameStop and Target stores.

At participating stores

Mega Gengar appears more often in Mega Raids.
Open the game while you're at the store to get a free three-step Timed Research with Gastly-family encounters, Gastly Candy and items.

Deadlines

Pick up the research by Oct 20 at 10:00 p.m. local time; you then have until Nov 20 to finish it.

Gift card bonus

Redeeming a Pokémon GO gift card bought at those retailers gives a Gengar Knit Cap avatar item (one per account).

Tip

You have to physically visit a participating US store to get the research.
